Lessons

The Zinn Education Project offers dozens of lessons on the history of the Black Freedom Struggle — from resistance to enslavement to redlining to the ongoing fight for voting rights and reparations.

The lessons, primarily for middle and high school, are free and organized by themetime period, and grade level. They emphasize the role of working people, women, people of color, and organized social movements in shaping history.

Our Teach Truth Syllabus highlights the Zinn Education Project lessons that are most closely aligned with the Teaching for Black Lives campaign.
